Who are we?

ECCL is a non-profit organization run by volunteers to provide Migrants and Refugees in the Logan City area with equal access to services, social justice and representation and to develop their capacity to participate, enhance and contribute to our culturally diverse community.

MISSION

To maintain, support and enhance Logan City’s rich cultural diversity through effective and collaborative participation from all members of the community.

OUR OBJECTIVES

(a) To organise, advance, promote and encourage relief welfare and educational work among ethnic groups whether within individual groups or by joint action and co-operation between such groups on issues of common interests.

(b) To ensure the maintenance and/or improvement of existing standards of welfare and rights of the ethnic communities including effective participation in decisions affecting such matters and the development of community services catering equally for the welfare and needs of all people whatever their language or culture.

(c) To promote research into social conditions of ethnic communities with a view to education of both ethnic groups and the wider Australian community.

(d) To encourage the development of ethnic organisations concerned with the social and cultural welfare of their communities.

(e) To participate actively in the development of a culturally pluralistic society in Australia and to relate to relevant community organisations and structures.
